Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 13, 2026

TL;DR — The short version

  • We do not collect your tool inputs or results.
  • We do not require registration or store personal accounts.
  • We use Google Analytics for anonymous aggregate usage statistics only.
  • We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
  • Calculations run on a stateless API — nothing is persisted.

1. Who We Are

QuickTools is a free web application that provides utility tools for developers, designers, and general users. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit and use QuickTools.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We are privacy-first by design. The following data is never collected, stored, or transmitted to any database or third party:

  • Any text, values, or content you enter into tool input fields.
  • Your tool results or calculation outputs.
  • Your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers.
  • Account credentials (there are no accounts on QuickTools).
  • Health or medical data entered into fitness and health tools.

3. Information We Do Collect

3.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use QuickTools in aggregate. This includes:

  • Pages visited and time spent on pages.
  • General geographic region (country/city level — not precise location).
  • Device type, browser, and operating system.
  • Traffic source (how you arrived at QuickTools).

Google Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3.2 Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure sessions and distinguish users anonymously. These are first-party analytical cookies only. We do not use advertising, targeting, or tracking cookies.

3.3 Server Logs

Our hosting provider may automatically collect standard server log data including IP addresses, request timestamps, and HTTP status codes. This data is used solely for security monitoring and is not linked to individual users or their tool activity.

4. How Your Tool Inputs Are Handled

Tool calculations work as follows:

Client-side tools

Some tools run entirely in your browser. Your inputs never leave your device.

API-based tools

Some tools send your inputs to our lightweight Node.js backend API to perform calculations. This API is stateless — inputs are processed in memory and the result is returned immediately. Nothing is written to a database, log file, or persistent storage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • Google Analytics — anonymous aggregate usage statistics as described above.
  • Hosting providers — standard server log data for security and uptime monitoring.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of QuickTools, its users, or the public.

6. Children's Privacy

QuickTools is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our service, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. External Links

Our site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

8. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data about you, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold any personal information about you, you may contact us to request clarification.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA. As we do not collect personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of QuickTools after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
